Roman Camp Wedding – Debbie and Graeme
At the end of August I found myself driving north into the Trossachs for yet another Roman Camp wedding in Callander. I’d met Debbie and Graeme earlier in the year and their laid back attitude to their wedding, and general all-round loveliness, made me super excited to visit the Roman Camp again and photograph their wedding for them.
Despite being the middle of summer the weather wasn’t quite good enough to guarantee a long enough dry spell for an outside ceremony down by the river however it was hardly a problem as the alternative was simply to use the beautiful library inside. After the wonderful Humanist ceremony by Karen Dickson everyone went outside anyway to admire the peacocks and swifts darting about the place and spend some time in the stunning gardens whilst I snapped away to capture as many of the guests as possible. There’s something about the Roman Camp that always seems to make every wedding so relaxing – I love it! Graeme, Debbie and myself spent a short while wandering about the grounds capturing a few photographs and then it was back for dinner and some ceilidh dancing by the Jiggers.
We just want to finish off by saying a big ‘thank you’ to Debbie and Graeme for just being such genuine and wonderful people and for making my day truly enjoyable, even though I was working! I should also add that I do have some great wedding blogs on the way that aren’t from the Roman Camp – hard to believe I know…
