St Andrews in the Square Wedding – Fiona and Martin
In October I was asked photograph a St Andrews in the Square wedding for Martin and Fiona, right in the city centre of Glasgow. St Andrews in the Square is an old church that has been re-purposed and is now a fantastic wedding venue with a cafe downstairs. Before starting there though Fiona wanted me to grab a few shots of herself and her bridesmaids getting ready just along the road so I popped in for an hour or so and managed to capture some of the action (although it was actually all pretty relaxed with no bridezilla moments, unless I missed those).
Martin had a great team of groomsmen and after the wonderful humanist ceremony, conducted by Kirsty Harvey, we managed to get everyone outside on the front steps of the venue for a big group picture of everyone. It’s a great thing to do if you have the space, a dry day and some helpful ushers who can help organise everyone. If you are thinking of having a large group like this for your own wedding just let me know and we can chat about the best way of managing it.
After a few family photographs we walked over to the nearby Glasgow Green for some relaxed couples shots before heading back to St Andrews in the Square for the rest of the day.
Thanks Fiona and Martin for letting me add your wedding to my blog and for asking me to photograph your St Andrews in the Square Wedding in the first place!
