Venachar Lochside Wedding Photographer
Kirsty-Maree and Gerard
Although I truly love being a wedding photography (honestly!) there are some days when you just wish you could be like everyone else and have a Saturday off. The 7th September was just such a day because, after an abysmal summer, the blue skies appeared and we had one of the nicest days of the year. I had to drive through the little town of Callander, watching all the tourists eating ice-cream, wishing I was one of them.
Kirsty-Maree and Gerard’s wedding more than made up for having to work on such a beautiful day though. Not least of all because I spent almost all of it outside in the sunshine on the shores of Loch Venachar doing something I love – making photographs. Then the sun set and the scenery turned impossibly beautiful which, even for me, was something amazing to behold.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony by Loch Venachar
As the weather was so nice it was always going to be an outdoor wedding ceremony so, seated out on the grassy banks of Loch Venachar, everyone sat to watch celebrant Kendal Delaney perform her magic and marry Kirsty-Maree and Gerard. After the ceremony the bride and groom’s Spaniel Nessie came to add a bit of chaos to the proceedings (not that I mind at all as I adore dogs – in fact my perfect wedding wouldn’t have any human guests at all, just a bunch of pups).
Golden Hour at Venachar Lochside
Timing sunset photographs to hit the famous ‘golden hour’ is a tricky one. Sometimes it looks as though it’s going to be amazing, only for the sun to dip below a band of cloud or mist. Other times it’s hard to get the couple out of their venue in time to make the nmost of the beautiful light. This day, however, everything slotted into place perfectly and at 7pm on the dot the sun began to kiss the top of Ben Venue and Kirsty-Maree and Gerard were out in a flash.
Thank you Kirsty-Maree and Gerard for asking me to be your Venachar Lochside wedding photographer, and for letting me share your photographs. I really appreciate it!
Review
Kirsty-Maree and Gerard were kind enough to leave me a really nice review over on Google.
“Trevor is a fantastic photographer, but not only that, the person you want on your wedding day to give you a laugh, keep you organised and help put you at ease on what can be a nerve wracking time, especially in the morning. My husband and I (and our families) couldn’t be more delighted that we chose Silver Photography and would highly recommend Trevor as your wedding photographer. The photographs themselves are so beautiful, Trevor has the artistic eye you want for framing shots, capturing all of the special moments and every detail you have planned hard to include as part of your day. He also has a gift for being completely unobtrusive and will be snapping photos when you have no idea he is there. We now can not wait to see Trevor’s work on our Wedding Album, but we already know it’ll be beautiful. Thanks Trevor, we will always be grateful to you.”
