Morven and Chris – Wedding Photography One Devonshire Gardens
On a sunny June day earlier this year I drove just a few minutes from my apartment into Glasgow’s West End to photograph Chris and Morven’s wedding at One Devonshire Gardens or Hotel du Vin as it is supposed to be called (but nobody uses that name). I have had my suspicions for a while now that after about 18 years of weddings I was losing my built up immunity to bridal tears and Chris and Morven’s wonderful day just confirmed that I have do in fact have a heart. I’ll need to invest in some bigger handkerchiefs. Incidentally, I give so many away to bridesmaids and never see them returned I need to find a handkerchief sponsor.
One Devonshire itself looked amazing on the day with loads of wonderful succulents dotted about the venue courtesy of the amazing florists Little Botanica whom I have worked with many times in the past. There was a fantastic cake at the top of the stairs from Three Sisters Bake and lots of brilliant origami made by Morven herself! Although One Devonshire was looking great we decided to jump in a taxi and nip over to Glasgow Botanic Gardens just along the road for a few pictures and a break from all the hustle and bustle. We were dropped at one end and walked through, from one side to the other via a yarn-bombed bench, before hopping back into a taxi at the Byres road end. It took about 20 minutes but it was great fun and resulted in some lovely relaxed photographs.
Morven and Chris were kind enough to leave me a very lovely review “We can’t thank Trevor enough for photographing our wedding in June 2017. We have amazing wedding pictures that really capture our day. We see something different every time we look at them and there are so many pictures we didn’t know he was taking as he was so professional. He has captured moments that we will treasure forever. Trevor was also a great guest at our wedding! He was friendly, relaxed and chatty and well thought of by everyone. He was missed when he left! He is a great photographer with a great personality!”
One Devonshire Gardens is a wonderful venue and I have many more upcoming weddings to photograph their in the near future. If you yourself are planning to have your wedding there please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I will be absolutely delighted to have a chat with you and run through your ideas with you. Remember that you don’t even have to have your whole day there. Liza and Simon jutted it as an ultra-luxurious base to start their day before getting married in the city and returning there for a meal in the evening.
