Some of My Favourite Wedding Photography Moments from 2015
2015 was a very busy, but enjoyable, year for me. I photographed over 50 weddings throughout Scotland, visiting plenty of new venues as well as revisiting some old favourites. Both my first wedding of the year and the last wedding were at the fantastic Roman Camp Hotel in Callander. The furthest wedding venue from home was probably gorgeous Balinakill – it’s such a brilliant venue and very much worth the drive! The nearest would be a close run thing between Oran Mor and One Devonshire in the West End of Glasgow, each of which are little over a mile from my house.
Each year I set out with good intentions of cataloguing my favourite photographs every time I find one when I am editing throughout the year. Unfortunately I am always so keen to get the edited wedding photographs off to my clients that I never seem to quite have the time. As a result I have had to sift through well over 17000 edited photographs from last year to try and select some for this blog post. Rather than try and select the ‘best’ (what would that be anyway?) I have, instead, picked just over one hundred pictures that made me smile and reminded me of a great day. and how nice it is to be a wedding photographer here in Scotland. I did have to choose one picture to be the main header image, although it is actually a sequence of three photographs. I chose these wedding photographs from Andreas and Bryonie’s wedding above all the others because I feel that they captured the essence of what I hope to achieve at every wedding – un-staged images that capture some of the emotion and happiness of the day.
I hope you enjoy looking through them and please don’t forget that you can also follow me on Facebook and Instagram!
