Megan and Alan’s Scottish Elopement at the Roman Camp Hotel

Here is a shorter than usual blog post about a wedding that was as small as one could be. Only myself and Eileen (the registrar) were present at Megan and Alan’s beautiful Scottish elopement at the amazing Roman Camp hotel in Callander.The fact that this was such a tiny wedding didn’t matter at all. In fact, in some ways, it was nicer than a big wedding as the focus was all on the ceremony and the bride and groom themselves, with nothing to distract them from being with each other. It did rain all day but it really didn’t matter. Megan and Alan, keen to get some pictures outside in the beautiful grounds, picked up their umbrella and together we visited all the nice nooks and crannies that the gardens offer. This included a few pictures in the magical-kingdom of the ancient rhododendrons with the carpet of pink and purple flower petals around their roots. Regular viewers of this blog may have noticed that the very first, and biggest, picture in my blog posts is always in black and white. Whilst I dearly love making black and white photographs I felt that the soft spring colours at this wedding were fantastic and something worth making an exception for.
