Megan and Alan’s Photographs at the Roman Camp Hotel
Exactly one year ago to the day I had the great pleasure of photographing Megan and Alan’s official wedding ceremony at the Roman Camp Hotel in Callander, one of my long-time favourite venues. That day (that you can read about here) it was just Megan and Alan and their intimate ceremony in the library was absolutely perfect. Today, when I captured their wedding photographs at the Roman Camp Hotel, it was almost the same only with the addition of a whole bunch of their close friends and family, and a bit of sunshine down by the river. Oh, and their two mothers performed the ceremony 🙂 Megan and Alan are two of the nicest people you could ever meet and they were absolutely perfect clients for me. They wanted their wedding photographs to be low-key but they were also up for plenty of lovely photographs in the magnificent grounds of the Roman Camp Hotel itself. They were also exceptionally keen on cuddling which is fantastic when it comes to photography but, surprisingly you might think, not always that common. Megan and Alan also wanted a second photographer to help photograph their day so I brought along my trusty assistant Andrea. We work together a few times a year and it is sometimes useful to have another photographer there to take some pictures at one location whilst I am at another. Megan made all of the paper bouquets by the way – I thought they were absolutely amazing!
