Kevin and Stacys Outside Wedding at Dumfries House
At weddings like Kevin and Stacy’s I am always excited to see that all the elements for a great day have fallen into place. Sometimes you get a great venue, but the weather is terrible. Other times you get great weather but you are in a city centre hotel and everything is indoors. Today the weather was beautiful and was only surpassed by the magnificence of the location – Dumfries House, a short distance from Glasgow in Ayrshire. The house itself is tremendous and is light and airy and offers lots of opportunity for wedding photography. The outside is even better with very well maintained gardens and a new water sculpture by artist William Pye. Stacy and Kevin made the most of all of these elements by having their relaxed humanist wedding ceremony outside and then, afterwards, everyone stayed outside and enjoyed one of the best summer days we had all year.
