Holly-Ander and Greigs Wedding Rosslea Hall Hotel
It has been a couple of years since I had photographed a wedding at Rosslea Hall Hotel in the pretty little seaside town of Rhu, near Helensburgh on the northern shores of the river Clyde, and I had forgotten how wonderful it was. I was also wishing that I had a couple of newlyweds in the car with me that morning, as I drove along the side of Loch Lomond on the way to the wedding, as the scenery was absolutely amazing. It was very sunny, and foggy at the same time, and the mists were sat just above the surface of the loch whilst the mountain tops were in full sunlight. I could’ve taken some beautiful photographs however I was alone in the car and I had a wedding to get to…
The fog cleared as I approached the Rosslea Hotel and the weather for the rest of the day was unbelievably nice. As is typical of many of my clients Holly-Ander and Greig didn’t want too many posed portraits of themselves but, even so, we did venture to the little park nearby where we found a nice secluded spot with beautiful views and Autumn foliage on the trees. Whilst there we captured one or two relaxed photographs with the Gare Loch as a spectacular backdrop. The whole wedding day was super-relaxed and I had a great time photographing it. I could write about it all afternoon but the weekend approaches and I still have another wedding to finish editing so I will have to let the photographs speak for themselves!
