On a beautifully sunny day at the end of August I headed south to Ayrshire for Alison and Carlo’s wedding at Dumfries House. I had never been to Dumfries House before (I am not sure that they do very many weddings) but it is an amazing place and is certainly somewhere I would look forward to going back to again in the future. It was built originally for the Earl of Dumfries and is actually in Cumnock, which is nowhere near the town of Dumfries. As I am still working through a few albums designs that need to be done in time for Christmas I won’t write too much here but Alison encouraged my laziness by emailing me a few bits and pieces of her own to include. I will let the photographs speak for themselves.
“The day was perfect and, contrary to what other married couples said to us, it didn’t fly by and we both enjoyed every second and lapped it up. The singing waiters were definitely a highlight for the guests as we hadn’t told anyone except yourself and the wedding co-ordinator and those are some of my favourite photos as you see how much everyone enjoyed it including the conga! They were hired from The Magic Agency. I did feel a bit sorry for them as people thought they were waiters and kept asking them questions but they coped! Our band was The Little Symphonies and we thought they were amazing.
My dress was from Etiquette in Uddingston who were so lovely and helpful.
