Clive and Debbie’s Matted Style Wedding Album
Last year I had the great pleasure of photographing Debbie and Clive’s wonderful wedding at the Roman Camp hotel in Callander, Scotland. Once Debbie and Clive had taken their time to look through all of their photographs they came back to me as they decided that they wanted a stylish way to display a collection of their favourite photographs from their wedding day. They looked at the Storybook style of album, with photographs printed flush to the page, but eventually decided upon a Matted style wedding album with photographs held behind thick, lightly textured, card mounts. They chose the largest size of wedding album I offer at 40cm x 30xm and the album originally had 30 pages in it. I had suggested, based upon my years of experience designing albums, that they should aim for around 70 photographs for that size of album but, as with nearly all of my clients, they found it quite hard to whittle down the numbers… Because the dimensions of the matted style wedding album are quite large I suggested that Debbie and Clive choose their key 70 images, which would all be kept as large as possible, but that we would then add in a couple of extra pages, each holding 9 smaller images. This way me managed to create a double-page spread of 18 photographs that are a great collection of some of the more informal moments of the day.
If you’d like me to design a wedding album for you, even if it has been a few years since your wedding, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I will be delighted to run through the options with you.
