Elopement photographer in Scotland.
As well as photographing 40 to 50 regular-sized weddings every year, with all the bells and whistles you can think of, each year I am also asked to photograph more and more elopements and small weddings which I love! In it’s literal sense I guess an elopement would be two people running away to get married but, in reality, it isn’t really like that at all. If the elopements I’ve photographed in the past are anything to go by then it is more the case that the bride and groom just want something more intimate, romantic and more focussed. Sometimes it is just the happy couple, and other times perhaps one or two good friends will be there too but, as I see it, an elopement is just a very tiny wedding where you can completely enjoy getting married to one other without any unnecessary fuss.
You will hopefully have seen from my website that my style of photography is pretty relaxed and informal and this suits elopements perfectly. As a photographer I always thoroughly enjoy documenting your day for you, however short. As you aren’t tied down to choosing a venue that can accommodate a large number of guests many of my clients choose to have their ceremonies in more unusual places, making the most of the wonderful locations and scenery that Scotland has to offer. I have absolutely no problem at all travelling to an out of the way venue, perhaps in Glencoe, Argyll or the Highlands, and always look forward to visiting somewhere new.
If you are looking for a photographer who will record your elopement or small wedding for you in Scotland with the minimum of fuss please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will be delighted to help. In the meantime why not have a quick look at one of my most recent elopements here: Elopement at the Roman Camp Hotel and an Elopement at the Lodge on Loch Goil.
